Current panel status — no named advisors yet
The Defense Compliance Report does not currently have a named Subject Matter Advisor panel. No advisor reviews have been completed. All published guides carry the "Editorial research — not formally reviewed by a CMMC Subject Matter Advisor" label.
We will not publish Advisor names or credentials before the corresponding individuals have agreed to be listed and to perform documented reviews. When advisors are confirmed, each named Advisor profile will include: full name, professional role, relevant credential or status (e.g., CCP, CCA, RPO status, bar number, former DoD role), compensation disclosure, and the date of each completed review.
We are recruiting across former DoD acquisition professionals, current or former DIBCAC personnel, Cyber AB credentialed assessors (CCP, CCA), retired CISOs with DIB experience, and attorneys with active federal-contracts cybersecurity practice. See Editorial Review Process for the review framework.
Why no names appear yet
Many publications attach fabricated or borrowed credentials, generic-sounding advisor names, or unaffiliated professionals' names without their knowledge to create the appearance of authority. We do not.
Until the panel is confirmed and documented reviews have been completed, every published page carries the "Editorial research — not formally reviewed by a CMMC Subject Matter Advisor" label. As advisors complete reviews, named "Reviewed by" labels will appear on the reviewed pages, linked to the advisor profile.
